When outsource is the way: Merixstudio & Farmdroid
00:03 → 00:04
My name is Alex.
00:04 → 00:08
I work in FarmDroid, back in Denmark.
00:08 → 00:11
I work as the Head of After Sales Services,
00:11 → 00:15
meaning that I am sort of the I am responsible for
00:15 → 00:17
all activities post sale.
00:17 → 00:21
The product as it is nowadays and as it has been since
00:21 → 00:26
eighteen is essentially an autonomous robot,
00:26 → 00:30
a freewheel product that we use to
00:30 → 00:32
map a field.
00:32 → 00:36
The robot then generates a set path around the
00:36 → 00:40
field and it essentially goes around this path and
00:40 → 00:43
seats the seats in very specific locations.
00:43 → 00:46
So it basically takes care of this entire process
00:46 → 00:50
that would otherwise contain a lot of manual labor.
00:50 → 00:53
In FarmDroid, we are really good at some things.
00:53 → 00:57
I mean, are really good at designing mechanical products,
00:57 → 01:00
we're really good at designing the software that's in it,
01:00 → 01:03
we're really good at a bunch of different things,
01:03 → 01:06
but of course, there are things we aren't that good at,
01:06 → 01:10
things like creating web pages or creating apps or
01:10 → 01:12
whatever third thing it might be.
01:12 → 01:15
Outsourcing things that are outside of our core business
01:15 → 01:19
is, I mean, it's it's a huge strength and and the the
01:19 → 01:23
ability to to be able to tell when should I keep this in
01:23 → 01:26
house and when should I be able to outsource it.
01:26 → 01:29
I mean, knowing that will save a lot time and save a lot of resources.
01:29 → 01:33
We took it more on the on our gut feeling.
01:33 → 01:38
We got a lot of references from former collaboratives with Merixstudio,
01:38 → 01:42
got some of the reviews that are posted on different sites
01:42 → 01:45
and and from what we could tell and from what we heard from
01:45 → 01:48
from other former collaborative partners,
01:49 → 01:52
I mean, Merixstudio just see seemed like the correct suit for us.
01:52 → 01:56
What Merixstudio has been capable of is basically to look at what we
01:56 → 02:00
are saying, understand not what we are asking for,
02:00 → 02:03
but what the idea behind what we are asking for is.
02:03 → 02:06
In that way they've been able to sort of understand our needs
02:06 → 02:10
and our processes to develop a product that's correct for us
02:10 → 02:13
rather than just do what we say because that would in no way
02:13 → 02:17
have been a product that's nearly as good as the one we've gotten.
