The importance of UX research: Merixstudio & Glareapp
00:01 → 00:02
My name is DJ.
00:02 → 00:07
I'm a Service Designer or a UX researcher.
00:07 → 00:10
I've been doing that for, I guess,
00:10 → 00:13
the past two decades now.
00:15 → 00:20
And my product is hopefully is going to
00:22 → 00:26
solve the many issues that go with doing
00:26 → 00:27
proper user research.
00:27 → 00:31
I had done a lot of research before
00:31 → 00:35
on my own by coming up with a decent prototype and doing
00:35 → 00:39
all that discovery stuff beforehand.
00:40 → 00:43
So, I had a working prototype or at least a clickable
00:43 → 00:45
prototype at first.
00:45 → 00:49
And I tested it, tried to validate it with actual
00:49 → 00:51
end users,
00:51 → 00:53
different types of personas.
00:54 → 00:59
And so then the time came to to find a developer.
00:59 → 01:00
And,
01:01 → 01:04
yeah, I tried to look for potential
01:06 → 01:10
developers that would be very suited for for the
01:10 → 01:12
type of stuff that I needed.
01:12 → 01:16
And so I ended up with Merixstudio.
01:16 → 01:18
What's really convenient is, you know,
01:18 → 01:22
there's no time difference between Amsterdam and
01:23 → 01:23
Poland.
01:23 → 01:25
So
01:25 → 01:28
that's why that's one of the reasons why
01:28 → 01:32
and then because of the they they had a solid
01:32 → 01:36
portfolio and they like to work with Python,
01:36 → 01:39
which is something that was recommended to me by some other
01:39 → 01:42
tech developer friend of mine.
01:42 → 01:44
So that's why I called you guys.
01:44 → 01:48
It's really helpful, especially from the technical
01:48 → 01:53
standpoint, because I'm no developer.
01:55 → 01:57
So lots of the stuff that we've discussed so far in the
01:57 → 02:01
workshop have already been worked out, it's more about,
02:01 → 02:03
you know, the devil is in the details.
02:04 → 02:08
And that's, you know, all the the team has been very helpful
02:08 → 02:12
in trying to figure that all that stuff out together with me.
02:12 → 02:15
So, yeah, I really like it.
