Building a prototype for a unique UK-based startup - Merixstudio & Rewind

00:00 → 00:01

Hi, my name's Jon Gray.

00:01 → 00:05

I'm here over at Merixstudio developing my

00:05 → 00:09

prototype for an app idea called Rewind,

00:09 → 00:11

which I hope will be big one day.

00:11 → 00:13

It's based on memories.

00:13 → 00:17

I had an idea for an app for around two years,

00:17 → 00:18

which makes sense in my head,

00:18 → 00:22

but without a prototype that I can kind of show.

00:22 → 00:23

It doesn't make sense to a lot of other people.

00:23 → 00:28

So but luckily, everyone here on the team has seems to get the idea and,

00:28 → 00:31

yeah, I hope it's gonna make sense to everyone else.

00:31 → 00:34

It's been great to see the team, you know,

00:34 → 00:39

quickly get on board and start to discuss

00:39 → 00:42

the idea and it's been great that after two or three

00:42 → 00:46

years of it just being an idea and and growing in my head to

00:46 → 00:50

to discuss it with people that do it for a living and ask

00:50 → 00:52

all the right questions and say, yes, that's possible, no,

00:52 → 00:54

that's not possible.

00:54 → 00:55

It's been really good.

00:55 → 00:58

An idea is just an idea until it's tangible and I can show it

00:58 → 01:00

to people and it's, you know,

01:00 → 01:04

trying to convince friends and family and other potential

01:04 → 01:08

investors that that it's a good idea when it's just an idea is

01:08 → 01:10

is is difficult.

01:10 → 01:14

I think everyone would be a lot more happy to part with their money if,

01:14 → 01:17

if I can show them this is what it looks like and this is what you can do.

01:17 → 01:21

Really, the only way to get investment is to get a prototype done.

01:21 → 01:22

And on the back of that,

01:22 → 01:25

then I hope that the prototype is the building blocks to start

01:25 → 01:29

the main app and and hopefully stage two is the

01:29 → 01:31

full app and launch.

Let's connect and build together
