If you somehow missed that we attended Tech Open Air conference last month, you must've really not followed us on social media! ;) After all, we posted plenty of stuff about it - starting with invitation videos and live coverage Instagram posts, ending with an in-depth summary on our blog. To not repeat what we've written in the article about TOA (check it out!), let me just tell you that we definitely want to visit this great conference next year - it was filled to the brim with knowledge and excellent networking opportunities. Also, it was great fun - together with Michał we had the time of our lives in Berlin and can't wait to come back!

This many people deserve more space!

In July our office grew twice in size - we doubled it by adding additional space on the floor below! After all, our software house is growing more and more with each month and without it, our floorspace would be too crammed to be comfortable. But this doesn't mean that we're done working on it - since we want to be 100% sure that the new space fully reflects Merixstudio's culture and people, we're working on it ourselves. Knowing the plans for the new wing and seeing the changes that are implemented, I can without a doubt tell you, that the final effect will be a sight to behold - just give us some time and stay in touch to not miss it!

it's a plane, it's a bird, it's a developer!

Last Friday our whole office got closer to nature🏞️ and had some fun by running around in the trees🌲🌳, playing laser tag🔫, and having a bonfire🔥. It turns out that we are quite good at playing outside - stereotypes of the IT industry be dammed!💪 . . . #meetmerix #merixstudio #party #forrest #adventurepark #lasertag #nature #fun #integration #happytogether #besttime #workinghard #hardlyworking #webdeveloper #happy #webdev #programming #programmer #programmers #developer #developers #websitedesign #programmerslife:computer: #programmerslife #coding #colleagues #partying #ITindustry #software #softwarehouse

Summer is all about having some fun outside - after all, in Poland warm weather can't be taken for granted. That's why in July we decided to have an integration party at Pyrlandpark, where we were able to live out our childhood dreams of beeing Tarzan or GI Joe. Our whole office was able to release some pent-up tension by climbing trees, playing laser tag, and simply having some fun in the middle of the forrest. Then, relaxed and a bit tired, we enjoyed the afterparty and a bonfire. It turns out that we are quite good at playing outside - stereotypes of the IT industry be dammed

Merixstudio is looking for colleagues!

Our marketing and HR departments need to watch their back - guys from the business development are coming for their job! But if business development is not your thing, don't fret - with the new office, we have plenty of job offers for you to browse through

How about some Python development knowledge?

It may seem like it, but July was not only about having fun, traveling, and slacking off - last month we also worked hard! Apart from the great software development projects we worked on this month, we also published many interesting articles and ebooks. Among them was a Python ebook, in which we shared our knowledge on why and when you should use Python, which framework to choose for your project, for which industries Python is a good match, and how to recognize the best Python developers and where to find them. So, as you can see, plenty of things worth learning if you're interested in the development of your Python project!

Merixstudio - patrons of knowledge

Supporting Python knowledge doesn't end with our ebook - in July we also became a silver sponsor of PyCon PL conference! It's one of our favorite conferences and it's not the first time we sponsor it - check out our summaries from last year and from two years ago! Understandably, we're quite excited to attend it and look forward to meeting the community centered around the Python language. See you on September 12th in Zawiercie!

And that would be all - as you can see, we were quite busy in July. August, of course, would be no different - for instance, Py_tej and front.radar are coming back this month! On the 22nd of August we'll talk about frontend development, while a week later, on 29th of August, we'll meet to learn about Python. Join us and let's broaden our knowledge together!
