Meet Merix: Marta - Content Manager

If I wanted to write down and publish everything what my little birds said about Marta, you probably would read only this introduction. And for sure it would be too long for some :) I will try to sum it up. When we think about Marta, there are few things which show up in our heads. At first animals! She just loves every living creature on the Earth. Marta is dreaming about having a doggy. I have to add that she is already has a cute lionhead rabbit called Felcio. The second thing, we know what's the best way to persuade her to do something. Just give her packet of crisps. Marta is addicted to them (in a rehab right now - we're keeping our fingers crossed for you! ;)). Moreover, what really surprised me, I got to know that Marta plays the violin and she is a choir singer! How cool is that?! (hmm so this is why she hums so often; especially Disney themes ;)). You should be aware when you start talking with Marta; she is a real talker (but in a positive way; you will see that in the following interview). It's not surprising when you know that she engage in anything she does in the full. There's no way in hell that Marta will give up! There is more and more info, but it's better for Marta to keep them in secret ;) One thing you need to know is the fact that she's jut shibby girl!

• Tell us something about yourself.
  My buddies say that I remind them of Monica from "Friends." I think it's true (although, unfortunately, I'm not the master of cooking as she is). Besides, I love "Friends" and even don't try to argue with me - it's the best sitcom ever! I watched all the seasons several times, and it still makes me laugh. I'm an avid sitcoms watcher, and nothing cause me stop watching one if it engrosses me. Especially, if it's series with a hint of horror, action, and mysterious investigation. If somehow I have lost touch with a sitcom, I spend my free time watching funny animals on Youtube. I love pets above all! It's hard to say something about yourself, but I think I'm a kind and friendly person. But to be sure you should ask my friends about it :)
• What are your main responsibilities at Merxistudio?
  I'm working as a Content Manager, and I create content for GoDealla.pl. To be honest, it's an awesome job! I treat writing articles about smart shopping which are published on GdziePromocja.pl not only as my job but also a great, creative fun. It makes me happy. I also take care of discount coupons that show up on GoDealla every day and our Facebook fanpage. All this under a watchful eye of the GoDealla's Team Leader, who finds the hottest topics for articles every day.
• What is important to you while working?
  I think the most important for me is a leeway. I don't mean that I want to do nothing and daydream all work day (although, it could be quite pleasured for a while; in the long term rather boring). Anyway, freedom to act is extremely important when it comes to creating content. Sometimes, you can write a text very quickly, in a fit of inspiration. Then you can put everything you have in your head on paper like a maniac. But sometimes, the head is empty of ideas. Then you need to do some research, prepare materials and then write something. I love the fact that I can decide about the speed of my work. Of course, I have my daily to-do list, but it depends on me how much time it will take me to realize individual tasks.
• Tell us something about your beginnings in the company.
  I've been working here for a quite short time so that I remember my first day perfectly. I was so scared! I don't know why but I'm sure you know what I mean... the beginnings always are difficult, especially, when you don't know even one person. Fortunately, my first days weren't so hard I thought it would be. GoDealla team, particularly Ania, my Team Leader, was extremely helpful. She explained me everything I needed and gave advice at every step. I quickly realized that there's no reason to be scared. I took my time and step by step I broke in my responsibilities. Without pressure. Besides, I had the opportunity to participate in a Pizza Day in the first week of me working here. How cool is that?!
• You are a newb at Merixstudio. What's your first impression?
  To be honest, I didn't think that I will like it so much. Now it's time for flattering a little bit :) I really like Merixstudio's mates and the atmosphere here. It's the key to wellbeing.
• What have you learned while working in Merixstudio?
  It sounds typical, but I learn something new every day. Really! I learn how to write good, readable articles (it is said that this is something that is in your blood, but there are things that you can learn and develop), improve engagement or analyze stats.
• What do you like about working at Merixstudio?
  The most I like that I can do something new every day. My responsibilities are rather constant, but topics of articles are completely different. I have the opportunity to prove myself in various fields.
• What was the biggest challenge you faced while working at the Merixstudio?
  Adding discount coupons to GoDealla website. It's because we're working with many different affiliate programs. It seems to be easy and definitely not time-consuming, but at the beginning, it takes me few hours every day. Now it's much better ;)
• What cool things have you worked on at Merixstudio?
  Like you said before, I'm a newb here. But I had the opportunity to make a quiz for GoDealla website. I'm sure you remember the buzz around Pokemon. This was the moment when we started our contest of catching our promotion eater, GoDealla. I can't hide the fact that it was great fun for me.
• When did you make a decision that you want to work in IT?
  It just happened. So quickly that I had no time to think about it. Suddenly I decided that I want to quit my previous job and find the new one where I can develop myself and my skills. And here I am :)
• What do you think is most difficult (and most interesting) in your work as a Content Manager?
  The most difficult is the fact that you should be like a chameleon that has to write something having sense about any topic. It no matters whether you have some knowledge about it or not. When I'm thinking about the coolest things, I have to mention it again, but it's a leeway. The final results (of an article) depend only on me.
• Where is a promotion?
  Of course, you can find a lot of coupons and promotions on GdziePromocja.pl and GoDealla.pl! :)
• If you could master one technology this year, what would it be?
  Facebook Ads.
• The first thing you do when you arrive at the office.
  I turn on my computer.
• iOS or Android?
  Definitely, I prefer the green Android creature than the bitten apple ;)
• What do you do in your free time?
  I said about it at the beginning of this interview, but I'll repeat it. Sitcoms, sitcoms, and more sitcoms! Don't think that I only stay at home and watching TV! Sometimes I also go out and hang out with my friends. I'm not a mad person :) Don't forget about funny animals... ;)
• The best hero from your childhood is...
  I love two guys. Tom and Jerry! They used to give me a good laugh.
• Where is your favorite place in Poznań?
  Morasko Campus. It's because it's a peaceful and quiet place perfect for BBQ and spending time with friends.
• Beer or vodka?
  Beer. Necessarily, some flavor one accompanied by my mates.
• Sports?
  Unfortunately, I'm a completely non-sport person. Sometimes I watch some soccer match, but it's rather by mistake :P
• Dog or cat?
  Dog, definitely! If I could, I would adopt all dogs in the world!
• Which website do you visit the most?
  It won't be something special, but it's Facebook. It's a sign of the times ;)
• Favorite app.
  WhatsApp. Thanks to the app, I can talk a lot with my mom who is abroad right now :)
• The light or dark side?
  It depends :)
• If you could only visit one website for the rest of your life, what site would that be?
  Go Animals fanpage! I think that animals never ceases to amaze me.
• If you could have your dream job, what it would be?
  I like what I do right now. If I could go back in time, I think I would become a vet doctor and run my own veterinary facility in some fantastic place.
