It depends on several factors such as our current capacity, particular project’s needs or your responsiveness. Our experience shows that we can be able to kick-off the project within 1 or 2 weeks from receiving an inquiry. Having 100+ team members gets us a good advantage for forming and scaling up the team quickly and providing a short lead time.

Our pricing is quite straightforward. We mainly work on a time & material model which means that you are charged for a particular number of hours worked by your team members per billing period. Of course, we’re always open to discussing your needs and preferences. Some of our services (i.e. Product Design Workshops, Scoping Sessions) are billed fixed price. We’re happy to share more details in the meeting.

We predominantly work with clients remotely, hence transparent and effective communication is key. To name a few practices:

• on a daily basis, we communicate via Slack where you have instant contact with the team
• you also have access to Jira (task tracking tool) for full transparency concerning the status of particular tasks
• we want you to participate in Scrum ceremonies (e.g. regular review/planning meetings) to keep abreast of the project’s progress and exchange feedback
• PMs sent regular reports and updates as well as feedback requests
• also, you are more than welcome to see us in our office from time to time to touch base and hang out in a more informal environment.

Before composing a team, we need to answer ourselves, what actually needs to be done? Defining the scope of work and your priorities is the crucial aspect prior to dedicating well-suited specialists to the project and suggesting the right team size.

As regards the basic team structure, we work in agile teams consisting of project manager (alternatively, Product Owner + Scrum Master), developers, QA specialist, UX/UI designers (if needed). The team size is tailored to particular project’s needs - there is also a good flexibility for scaling up/down the team size throughout the development. A crucial point is a project kick-off meeting that let both yours and Merixstudio’s teams get to know each other, establish rules of cooperation and start the work the right way. A common practice is that this is partially covered on a pre-kick-off phase. Our key goal is to have a perfect understanding of the project both in terms of business and tech objectives, hence, it is proceeded by extensive Q&A sessions, scoping sessions or product design workshops. The first month of the collaboration is a Trial Period which you can terminate without notice if you are not satisfied for whatever reason.

We understand that you share with us valuable information that are often fundamental for your business prosperity. Therefore, we sign a non-disclosure agreement upon your wish so that we are legally binded to hold the proprietary information in strict confidence and ensure for project’s confidentiality. The process is quite simple - before you share detailed information, we submit an NDA agreement to you via DocuSign where you place an electronic signature.
