what you'll do

As our new Business Development Specialist you will be part of our Sales team that’s focused on building awareness of Merixstudio among companies belonging to our ICP, partners and industry communities. Your main responsibility will include proactively look for sales and partnership opportunities around the globe - within product-led companies (startups and scaleups, SMBs), tech advisors, consulting agencies, independent tech experts, venture capitalists, or startup hubs. 

 

You will build and manage Merixstudio’s relationships with key prospects & partners and (co)execute activities intersecting sales and business growth departments. In addition to that, you will also identify top strategic opportunities for Merixstudio in high-profile events and conferences to amplify our brand from a business perspective.

 

Among the things you will take care of is also highly customized and targeted multichannel outreach, using a very modern tool stack. Importantly, you will have both influence and a certain degree of freedom in terms of communication style and the final execution.

 

Part of the journey will also be taking ownership of internal initiatives (inc marketing and content-related, i.e. promotional or educational videos) and projects aiming at improving our operations and efficiency. There is definitely a room (need) for well-thought out, measurable tests and experiments.

who you are

  • you have highly developed soft skills which include proficiency in English, presentation skills, and the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and partners (potential and active) - in short, you build bridges, not walls,
  • you have a track record of successful new business activities (generating leads from events, networking & more classic outreach),
  • you have a knack for getting to know new people, making a buzz online around your activities, and being an active member of the tech community,
  • you know how to do research to find a way to reach people you want to work with or communities you find valuable,
  • you have experience in business development, event management or B2B focused marketing in the digital/IT industry.
  • you follow up with the newest trends regarding startup area, new technologies, and new media,
  • proactiveness and creativity are in your nature,
  • you are well-organized and like to get things done, 
  • you consider CRM (and other sales/communication tools) as a helping hand, rather than a red tape,
  • a believer that a good copy and content are still the queen and the king of the outreach.

  • experience in b2b (ideally software development services) sales,
  • experience in b2b business development,
  • experience in networking at events,
    you’ve built relationships in the startup/IT community.
