September, as you probably know, was filled with plenty of events, some that required traveling all around the country. Apart from that, we had some internal celebrations, worked out a little, and did a ton of great software development - here are some details about all those endeavors:
Autumn means Python - our yearly visit to PyCon PL
Attending and sponsoring PyCon PL, a conference organized by the Python community for the Python community, became a tradition for our software house. During this year's edition of PyCon, we also had a chance to share our knowledge with others by organizing a half-day workshop and giving a presentation on Django security!
With our booth in the middle of the venue, our stand was visited by many PyCon attendees that wanted to play our multiplayer Snake adaptation, solve our quiz, or simply have a chat with us. But since I was not there, I can't share the details of this conference with you. Luckily, there's an article on our blog, where Bartek talked about everything that happened there - check it out!
Run, Merix, run!

Talking about the tradition, every year our software house gets away from our desks to go for a run. Run in a business way, to be exact! To make it more special, everyone attending Business Run also joins our Merixstudio's Running Club and is gifted with an exclusive shirt.
As you can see in the photo, this club is growing in numbers - a few years ago we only had one team, now we have three! It's also important to note that our runners were not lagging behind! Even on a Sunday morning, Merixstudio showed that the IT industry has people that are strong both in body and in mind! What's more, no one displayed any symptoms of sore muscles when they came back to work on Monday - we couldn't be more proud of our athletes. :)
Boys, Boys, Merixstudio's Boys

If you're Polish, you know that September holds an important holiday - National Boy's Day. Since our software house has an abundance of great software developers, quality assurance specialists, project managers, designers, marketing specialists, and more, you'll know that we wanted to do something special to celebrate it!
Luckily, we also have plenty of women to organize the party. This time our ladies decided to make the day special with a breakfast feast! Our tables were almost buckling under the weight of different meats, cheeses, fancy cereals, pb&j stations, and much more! It turns out that this year we found the way to the hearts of our colleagues - just give them plenty of kabanosy (dry smoked pork sausage), and they'll be happy. ;)
Meeting you at Meet.js Summit

PyCon was not the only big conference we sponsored this month! Once again, you could meet us at Meet.js Summit, which 15 of us attended in September. As sponsors, we showed up in Katowice to play Snake, chat with other attendees, and check out the presentations. From what I've heard, the whole event was not only educational but also quite fun for our group - two ingredients necessary when making a perfect conference worth attending every year!
All work and all play makes Merixstudio a happy software house
Judging by this summary alone, this month we were only attending conferences, having fun, and running around the city. Well, that's simply not true! We're all working hard to play hard - the proof lies in yet another great Clutch review from our client! This time it was PPC Communications from Cincinnati, Ohio that shared their thought on our cooperation:
"We had trouble with previous outsourced companies not understanding documentation, but Merixstudio didn’t need us to explain everything. We could communicate without wasting extra time to get our point across. This freed me up to focus on other things."
With 5/5 stars given to this Django and React project, we couldn't be more proud of this project! Thanks, PPC Communications, it was a pleasure! Check it out in full and see you next month (hopefully with even more great reviews;))!
