Let’s start the summary of June with… the plans for July! As you can see in the video, together with our Business Developer Michał we will attend Tech Open Air, Europe’s Leading Technology Festival. As they state, TOA’s mission is to help people future-proof their businesses and their lives, so we couldn’t be more excited!

If you’re also going to attend it, let us know - we can meet up for lunch to have a chat! And if you’re not going to be in Berlin this week, don’t forget to follow us on Instagram, where together with Michał we will cover everything happening in Germany’s capital. Also, don’t worry - as soon as we’re back in the office, we’ll get straight to writing a summary that will be published on our blog. ;)

Last week we were busy not only with #softwaredevelopment, but also with preparing a #ChildrensDay package for #StowarzyszenieAmici.🎁 As soon as we saw how many great things this organization does for kids, we knew that we wanted to help them!💪 That’s why we once again organized an internal auction of goods and favors (which always ensured, that the fundraising is going to be successful😋) and prepared many packages. And, it if scroll to the second picture, you’ll see that we even got a gift in return!🖼️ Check out our Facebook page to see how the kids reacted to the package - that’s what this day should be all about!😊 . . . #kidsday #dziendziecka #charity #kidscharity #meetmerix #merixstudio #softwarehouse #makeachange #positivevibes #initative #together #connect2earth #planetearth #ourplanet #programmerslife #coderslife #testerslife #webstagram #webdev #event #colleagues #folks #wematter #poznan #officelife

As you know, with each special holiday/celebration, we try to give something to others instead of only treating ourselves. We don’t forget, however, to have fun in the process! To celebrate this year’s Children’s Day we decided to help Amici, an organization that allows kids to forget their worries by participating in the various creative endeavors.

To ensure the best gift, we decided to once again use the method of fundraising from last year’s Children’s Day - internal auction. We actioned both items and favors, among which you could find DIY projects, cakes, music lessons, and inside-joke services, that made the bidding process extremely exciting for all participants. And I don’t want to toot our own horn, but let me make one thing clear - the final package exceeded our expectations and with a half year still remaining, we’ve already gathered more money than in whole 2018. Couldn’t be more proud!

Let’s talk about employer branding in the IT industry

This month fans of the Porozmawiajmy o IT podcast were in for a treat. ;) Together with Krzysztof, the host of the podcast, we talked about what it’s like to take care of employer branding in a software house, what’s the difference between PR and EB, and what we do to ensure that working at Merixstudio is enjoyable for everyone. If you know Polish, check it out and let me know what you thought about it!

Recruit us!

Now let’s talk about one of the most visible things on our social media this month. I’m obviously talking about our informal meetings, during which you can visit us to check out our office and talk about what it’s like to work in our software house. Those meetings are not for us to recruit you, but for you to recruit us! We even prepared our CV for this recruitment process! ;)  But you don’t need to believe me - you can check out Natalia’s article to learn more about this initiative.

The best thank you gifts are packed in the pizza boxes

As you know, this month our new website went live.🙌 Yesterday, to thank everyone involved in its creation process and to celebrate other internal achievements, we decided to have a little party! 🥳 And, to stay true to ourselves, we decided to celebrate with pizza and cold beverages - in a laid back, Merixstudio’s style!🍕 . . . #meetmerix #merixstudio #software #softwarehouse #party #pizzaparty #fun #integration #fun #celebrate #celebrationtime #lovemyjob #workinghard #hardlyworking #webdeveloper #happy #webdev #programming #programmer #programmers #developer #developers #websitedesign #programmerslife:computer: #programmerslife #coding #colleagues #folks #partying #ITindustry

You don’t need many reasons to have a pizza party, but in June we definitely had plenty of them! Not only our new website went life, but we also introduced some new initiatives inside our software house. And to show everyone gratitude for such good work, our CEO decided to buy everyone lunch. After all, that’s what Merixstudio is all about - spending some time together and having fun without the unnecessary fuss. :)

No fun is possible without the software development

Last but definitely not least, all of those wonderful things happening in June were possible thanks to the hard, day-to-day work we’re doing on our projects. After all, that’s what working in a software house is all about! Last month our efforts resulted in yet another great review on Clutch - here’s the whole quote of what the Product Owner we collaborated with has said about working with us:

I would say that they're self-starting. They pick up work quickly and take it through to the end—often in less time than we had required. They met and even exceeded deadlines that we set so I'm very happy in general.

Check out the whole review he gave us (as well as others posted on our Clutch profile) and see you next month!
