Who doesn’t like things? Things make you happy and fill any void in your heart that needs to be filled. Or it seems like it judging by the photos we took with our new merch ;) This month we replaced our old, ordinary mugs and totes with the pretty new ones that have our logo on them! Now we can both drink coffee and commute in style!- It’s raining cats and dogs!

If you are following us on social media, then you know which pupper is the most frequent companion of Merixstudios endeavors. It’s obviously Feta - she was on of the first pets that visited our office, cheered us during Business Run, and this month came back to the office to check whether we are working as hard as when she was at Różana for the first time. Judging by the fact that she had to spend some (short) time in GoDealla office when her best friend Anita was at the meeting, we passed the test. But, to be fair, our productivity was a little bit worse on that particular day- it was impossible not to dedicate some time to playing fetch!- The best kind of party is the launch party
- Are they watching a presentation about some new project? Well, no, they are playing Kopanito during working hours! We are loud and proud when it comes to Kopanito All-Stars Soccer, an arcade, 2D soccer game created and developed by our three-people-team. Because of that we couldn't pass the opportunity to celebrate its official launch - we decorated the office, ordered pizza and indulged in playing our favorite game. There even was a sparkling candle on the pizza box! Everything was recorded on video, so you can check out for yourself what was happening during our party. - Tomorrow is 11th of November, National Independence Day in Poland. It’s especially festive in our Poznań, because we are also celebrating St. Martin’s Day. 11th of November is the National Independence Day in Poland, but for people in Poznań it also means St. Martin’s Day, which is traditionally linked with a parade and eating (a lot of!) rogale świętomarcińskie. We are really happy to be in tune with our roots, so we can’t say no to stuffing our faces on this special occasion :) That’s why this month our kitchen looked like a little bakery for one day. Well, maybe for an hour… The big trays of delicious baked goods were emptied in no time - who can say no rogal?!?- Running away from rogal-induced fat

Rogale świętomarcińskie, being really tasty, are also extremely fattening. One portion has around 1200 calories! And the celebration rarely stops with eating one, what might be a good idea if you are a bear preparing for winter, not a human that has to fit into winter clothes. Maciek and Kamil, being health-orientated and smart, decided to burn all those excessive calories during Run for Independence. So, when all of us celebrated a day off with being couch potatoes or watching the parade, they showed us what it’s like to be a responsible adult. There is no Merixstudio without DevCollege, workshops during which we teach people about the thing we know best - web and game development. This time Mateusz and Dominik talked about React, a library from Facebook and Instagram that’s created for building composable user interfaces. Our office is fun and all, but it’s nice sometimes to change scenery, especially when there is a conference in town. We couldn’t miss the opportunity to attend Marketing i Technologia, which theme was Old vs. New - it sounded to intriguing to not go! We watched presentations about the world of marketing and new technological solutions, met up with our friends from the industry, and had an overall good time. Don’t think that I forgot about #GeekShirtFriday! I couldn’t forget, particularly with the new Star Wars movie coming soon to cinemas! Radek, our Instagram debutant, sported a Wookie t-shirt that proved that even the hairiest one of us could be glamorous. Is all about the well-groomed ‘do!
