Meet Merix: Piotr - Back-end Developer

Piotrek is another of our brave backend devs working in the Django team with the vigilant eye of Miłosz. Piotr is an oasis of calm. Seriously, if he was bald and lived in Tibet, he would be a monk for sure. But on the other hand, it is in conflict with his love for Counter-Strike and liters of yerba he drinks every day. Besides, he is not afraid of different challenges. My secret sources reported that Piotrek covered a distance of 500 kilometers by bike. The trip (Academic Bike Challenge 2014) lasted 10 days and he visited 3 different countries during this time. We must admit that Piotr is the second red-haired bearded at Merixstudio. But please, not judge us too hastily.

  • Tell us something about yourself.
I hate telling something about myself.
  • What are your main responsibilities at Merxistudio?
I am responsible for both creating new and developing existing apps. Of course, I use Django.
  • How do you work? What is important to you while working?
There's nothing more precious than peace and quiet. Once I take care of some problem, I try to do everything to the end.
  • Tell us something about your beginnings in the company.
I saw a lot of new faces and heard many names. Then I remembered none of them ;-)
  • What have you learned while working in Merixstudio?
It's better for you not to win with your team leader in FIFA competition ;-) But seriously, working at Merixstudio showed me lacks in my knowledge about web-dev and Django. Fortunately, I still have the opportunity to broaden my knowledge. What I'm doing with a pure pleasure.

Because you can do everything faster and better using Python and Django. It's fair and square.
  • What do you think is most difficult (and most interesting) in your work as a Django Developer?
The most difficult is Django. And the most interesting is... also Django. This framework gives a lot of opportunities. It's also very interesting when it comes to features I can create thanks to it. Especially if everything works as I want to. Unfortunately, sometimes there some bugs bob up. This causes troubles and fights against them.

    reddit.com/r/PCMasterRace

    reddit.com/r/PCMasterRace
  • If you could have your dream job, what it would be?
