Leadership Training at Merixstudio: Becoming a Successful Leader

The primary role of Team Leaders is to organize work in each department. It means that each Team Leader talks each day with their teams as well as other work-buddies or bosses. What is important, miracles should happen during these conversations: information, motivation, explaining, engaging, analysis, delegating, planning, discipline... It's an endless list.

To make this all happen and to be good Team Leader, you need to have (or learn) proper skills. Fortunately, Mikołaj and his training came to the rescue, and we finished our intensive, few days' leadership course last week.

Merixstudio's Leadership Training

Training workshops showed in a practical way how to communicate effectively as a Team Leader. We found out what the most common mistakes are and how to avoid them to cut out an inefficient work of team members. On the other hand, we learned how to engage and motivate people to work. We did not miss recruitment and team management stuff including conflict management (mainly, how to avoid them).

I will not lie to you... this training meant not only personal growth and a lot of brilliant knowledge. It also was a lot of fun. We experienced both incredibly frustrating exercises that made us feel like a babe in the woods and exceptionally funny ones when we couldn't stop laugh. So we had an opportunity to build a tower with straws, lie through our teeth, negotiate Treaty of Versailles again or draw something together with colleagues using just one pen (it turned out that we are talented "artists", especially when it comes to drawing symmetrical five-pointed stars!).

The last meeting took place in Mamma Wilda, where we can also eat some delicious Italian food. We all finished these workshops with certificates in our hands. Mikołaj shared with us a great knowledge and useful tools, which we will certainly use in our everyday team managing. Now we have no more to do like roll up our sleeves and get down to work :)
